Conference Highlights

  • "Fireside Chat": Filling in the Gaps of the American Story: Asian American History in School Curricula

    Yung-Yi Diana Pan and David Imamura

    Yung-Yi Diana Pan is Director of the American Studies Program, and Associate Professor of Sociology at City University of New York, Brooklyn College. She is also affiliated with the sociology department at the The Graduate Center.  A 1.5-generation immigrant from Taiwan, who grew up in predominantly white Oregon, Diana has been interested in issues of racial inequalities for as long as she can remember. 

    David Imamura was elected to the Westchester County Board of Legislators in a special election on February 27, 2023 to represent District 12, comprised of Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Edgemont, Hartsdale, Hastings-on-Hudson, and Irvington. He was re-elected that November to a full two-year term that began in January ’24. He is the first Asian-American to serve on the Board of Legislators.
